About Me
El Portero is Spanish for "The Porter", a character from the play Macbeth. The Porter has captivated my imagination since the moment I first read his lines, and has come to be the very embodiment of my "other side". In the play, he speaks to great lengths of hedonism and lechery, and indeed is my writing not also about these things? I chose to translate the name into Spanish because around the same time in my life I discovered a passion for the language, though fluency never came with it.
Some will remember my old site, back when it was a Geocities shithole, was called "El Infierno", as opposed to the newly named "Hell Gate". El Infierno is simply Hell, and used to be the name of my Half-Life server, back when I gamed and first started writing. But when I did a site redesign, I chose to stick with my roots and take the name from the very words that inspired my chosen moniker: "If a man were porter of hell gate, he should have old turning the key." This was also the phrase that some select few will recall became the basis for my old screen name: elporterodelapuertadelinfierno (el portero de la puerta del infierno, or "the porter of hell gate").
My avatar of the old man you seen on many of the forums I visit is a scan of the text book that we used in the class when I first read the play, and is of Mervyn Blake portraying The Porter in the 1983 Stratford Festival production of Macbeth. It is the quintessential Porter costume in my mind. I, unfortunately, still have yet to see his actual performance, but that is something I'm still trying to do.
Alright, that's enough about my namesake, and why I chose it. On to my chosen profession, then.
I was a writer long before I outright discovered the vore/stuffing communities. It all started with belly buttons. There used to be a site dedicated to celebrity belly buttons that is no longer online, but it was my gateway to the fetish communities. Then somehow I managed to find Big Gulp. And from there Stuffed Online. Next thing you know, I found my home. But writing for the communities didn't start until I befriended an amazing individual by the moniker of epileptic_pimp. He inspired me to write my first story. And then I met Storpotaten, who was looking for inspiration for his drawings. My first collaboration was with him, an experience I cherish to this day. I found a true love for working with an artist, and had many wonderful collaborations with Brain3times3. Working with him really helped me hone much of my craft. And then a real hero of mine, FrostByte, contacted me and gave me more support than I could ever express. He gave me more confidence than I ever had before. Finally, I discovered the giantess community, and two incredible artists, Dann21 and Karbo. Dann was the man who put it in my head that I could write well beyond what I was doing. Write an interesting story outside of the obvious subject matter. And it was Karbo who convinced me to try my hand at macro/micro vore writing.
And that's how I got here.
I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for those amazing writers and artists who became wonderful friends. Every word I write is dedicated to you.
