Deadly Innocence Or: You Can't Reason with the Law of the Jungle

The Adventures of Elle, Part I

By El Portero

For Karbo

"Come on!  It'll be fun!"

Silvia looked at her boyfriend with a sideways glance that made her hesitation quite clear.

Ron repeated his plea.  "Come on, hun.  We'll make a nice afternoon of it.  A walk through the forest, a nice picnic lunch, we'll watch the sun set from Tarantula Hill."

Silvia maintained her hesitant posture.  Finally Ron played the only card left to him, even though he didn't want to.

"We can bring Amanda with us."

Immediately her face lit up.  "Really?!  Oh that will be so much fun!  I'll go get her now!"

As Silvia ran off to fetch her sister, Ron hung his head in defeat.  Silvia was very close with her younger sister.  They were only a year apart in age, and had grown up close, and stayed close.  Too close for Ron's liking.  Silvia wanted to do everything with Amanda.  And whenever Ron wanted to do something nice, something romantic, Amanda always ended up having to come along.  But, in spite of this, he loved Silvia very much.  She was very thoughtful and very sweet.  And very, very beautiful.

Silvia was six feet tall, her body soft and welcoming.  Her long, red hair would shine in the basking sun, accenting her snowy white skin.  Small patches of freckles dotted her cheeks, giving her wide smile a child-like quality to it.  But her body was definitely that of a full-grown woman.  Ample breasts jiggled with her every movement, her curves running the full length of her figure.  Ron had been smitten with her the moment he saw her, that lovely spring day two years ago.

Her beauty had been what caught his eye, but her intellect was what really captured him.  She was incredibly intelligent, and was studying to be a doctor.  She was perfect in every regard.  Except this need to be so close to her sister.

And it wasn't that Amanda wasn't a good person or anything.  It was just that Ron wanted more alone time with Silvia.  Amanda was a five-foot-nine blonde, cute as hell, and as well-endowed as her older sister, the kind of beautiful that would make you wonder why she was single.  Until you got to know her.

Amanda, while extremely beautiful, had a real knack for finding trouble.  She wasn't wicked by any means, or even really mischievous; she was just so naive.  She was innocent to the point of being dangerous.  Wandering off here, pushing this button there.  Ron had never seen a twenty-year-old woman manage to get herself into so many predicaments.  And now that she was coming with them on this picnic walk, he was going to have to really keep an eye on her, lest she find some way to ruin the afternoon.

But that left Ron with a conundrum.  He did, in fact, need some alone time at some point this afternoon.  He subconsciously fingered the small black box in his pocket.

He had planned for this to be the day he finally proposed to Silvia, and now he had to find a way to do so with Amanda around.  He figured at some point Amanda would be distracted by something and run off into one of the fields atop Tarantula Hill, at which point Ron could get on one knee and propose.

Ron's thoughts were interrupted by Silvia's return.  He looked up to see her glowing smile, and instantly his heart melted once again.  Sure Amanda could be an annoyance, but she was worth putting up with to be with this angel.

Silvia came right up to Ron and kissed him deeply on the lips.  "Thank you for letting Amanda come along.  It means a lot to me."

"Of course.  And I brought enough food for three, just in case she joined us."

"Oh, you are such a thoughtful man!  And I love you very, very much for it," she said as she leaned in to kiss him once more.

"Hey, guys!  I'm all ready to go!" Amanda yelled as she bolted out the front door.  Both Ron and Silvia turned as Amanda ran up to them.  When she stopped right in front of them, Ron looked back and forth between them and asked, "So, you girls ready to head out?"

Both of them nodded and turned to face the road.  Ron picked up the picnic basket in one hand, took Silvia by the hand with the other, and the three of them headed down the road that led to Silvercreek Forest.

Elle opened her eyes, a rumbling in her stomach jarring her awake.  She clenched her aching gut and rubbed it gently, trying to soothe it, but to no avail.  She could actually feel the growling organ through the thin layer of belly fat under her skin.  She begrudgingly got up, knowing the only thing that could put her in a better mood was finding something to eat, or something interesting to investigate.  Sometimes, just sometimes, hunger could take a back seat to curiosity, or even play.  And there were sure to be a great many curious things in this new place....

Ron looked lovingly into Silvia's eyes, admiring their reflection of the soft afternoon sun.  He could stare into those blue eyes all day, just be completely lost in them.  She returned his smile, the love quite apparent from her.

Behind them, Amanda pranced along, twirling to look at all the tall trees on either side of the path.  She smiled with complete amusement.  She enjoyed simple pleasures, and a walk through Silvercreek Forest with her sister was definitely a wonderful, simple pleasure.

Elle poked her head above the forest canopy, surveying for miles around.  She munched on leafy tree branches while she did.  It was mostly just to try and curb her hunger pains, but also because she knew that while it wasn't even close to her favorite food, leafy vegetation was good for her digestive tract.  So she could be healthy and settle her stomach a bit while she searched out a more satisfying meal.  But so far she had yet to find her favorite food in this strange place....

"Well, here we are!" Ron declared as he took his first steps on top of Tarantula Hill.  Silvia and Amanda were close behind and soon saw the breathtaking view for themselves.  You could see for miles around the solitary hill, which rose high above the forest floor.

"Wow!  Oh, my gosh!  This is absolutely gorgeous!" Silvia said as she took in the grand view of the vast, evergreen forest.  "Isn't it amazing, Amanda?"

"Yeah, it's incredible!  I can't believe we've never been up here before!  I can't wait to go exploring!"

Just then her stomach growled.

"But maybe we should have lunch first."

Silvia nodded her head in agreement.  "We can have lunch here and then wait for the sunset."

Ron turned to the two ladies.  "Well, why don't you two go look around while I set everything up."

"Oh, thank you, Honey!  That's very sweet of you!"  Silvia grabbed Amanda's hand and said, "Let's go see what's around here!"

"Okay!"

Silvia and Amanda ran off to another part of the hill while Ron looked for a good place to set up their picnic.  He found a small patch of short grass just north of the apex of the hill and decided that would be a good spot.  He brought the picnic basket over and took out the blanket.  He laid it flat, soothing out the wrinkles.  And then he began laying out their feast.

Ron had brought tons of food, because he knew how big of an appetite the girls had, and since he had figured Amanda would somehow end up joining them, he made sure he had enough to feed everyone.  He laid out big sandwiches and plates of cookies, large red apples and chunks of various cheeses.  More than enough food for them.  He wanted to make sure Silvia had a perfect time, and so he had taken great care to make sure everything was in place.

Soon after he had everything laid out, Silvia came back over the edge of the hill.

"Oh, wow!  Honey, this is one heck of a feast you brought us!"

"Well, I wanted to make sure you had a great time on our little outing today."

"Aw, thank you!"  She leaned forward to give him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Where's Amanda?"

"Oh, she'll be back up in a few minutes.  She was looking at some pretty flowers we found."

Ron recognized that this might be the only chance he got.  He mustered his courage.

"Silvia?"

"Yes, Dear?"

"We've been together, what now?  Two years?"

"Yep.  Two years."

"Well," he said.  "I don't know how much I tell you this, but these two years have been the absolute happiest of my life."

She looked lovingly at him, obviously touched by his sentiment.  "Honey, you show me how happy you are every day."

He smiled back at her.  "But the thing I haven't told you is that I want to spend many, many more years together with you."

Her eyes widened, realization setting in.

Ron reached into his pocket, pulling out the small black box as he got down on one knee.  Silvia started to cry as she put her hands up to her face.  Ron opened the box and lifted it towards Silvia, the large diamond sparking brilliantly in the sunlight.

"Silvia, will you marry me?"

Silvia stood there, speechless for what felt like an eternity before she started nodding and in a teary-eyed voice said, "Yes!"

Ron took the ring in one hand and Silvia's hand in the other.  He gently slipped the ring on before climbing up off his knee and standing straight, looking her in the eyes.  She wrapped her arms around him, holding him tight.

Just then Amanda came up the hill and saw Ron and Silvia embracing.  "What's going on?" she asked.

Then she saw the ring.

"Ron!  You proposed!  And Sissy said yes!" she cried out, obviously excited about the news.  "Oh, I'm so happy for you two!"

Amanda hugged both of them, Ron beaming a huge smile and Silvia trying to wipe the tears from her eyes.  But when she took her hand away from her face, Ron could see the huge smile he so loved.  This was indeed a great day.

Elle moved slowly through the forest, her hunger pains having vanished for the time being.  The leafy greens were soothing her stomach, but now she was thirsty.  She could hear water coming from somewhere in the direction of the slowly lowering sun, but she couldn't see anything through the thick glare.  She shielded her eyes from the bright sun and continued looking for water, a little belch escaping from a gas bubble in her stomach....

Buuuuuuurp!

"Oh, excuse me!" Silvia apologized, rubbing her very full stomach.  "But that was really, really good!"

"Yes, Ron!  Thank you so much for this lovely picnic!" Amanda chimed in.

"You are both very welcome.  I wanted a nice meal to compliment this lovely day," he said, smiling genuinely at them both.  He actually was enjoying having Amanda along this time.  Maybe she was getting better as she got older.

"It has been such a lovely day, and this," Silvia said, nodding to the ring on her finger, "was just the icing on top.  I love spending time with the two people I love most.  I can be happy anywhere as long as I've got both of you there with me."

Elle finally found the water source she was looking for, a large stream that wound its way through the forest.  She leaned her head down and drank deeply, the cool water soothing as it quenched her thirst and pooled in her stomach.  When she had finally had her fill, she wiped the excess drops from her mouth and breathed a sigh of relief.  She giggled as she heard and felt the water inside her slosh around, clearly enjoying the sensation.

After a few moments of amusement, she turned her attention back to the ongoing task:  trying to find something yummy to eat....

The sun glowed brilliantly as it lowered below the horizon, turning the sky all different shades of red, orange, and yellow.

"Ooooooh," Silvia and Amanda cooed in unison.

"It's so beautiful!  I've never seen anything quite like this!" Amanda said.

"I know," Silvia said, holding up the diamond on her new engagement ring into the sunlight, watching it glisten brilliantly.  "I can't believe we've never hiked up here before, especially with it being so close to the house."

"Well," Ron said.  "If you think this is incredible, just wait for a bit until after the sun sets.  Then you'll see the real beauty of this place."

Elle could feel the water emptying from her stomach.  She knew it wouldn't be long before it started demanding food.  Real food, this time.  But she still hadn't found any signs of anything yummy to eat.  She looked off into the setting sun, thinking as she stared.  Her thinking was interrupted when just before the sun fell below the horizon her keen eyesight caught something glimmer very brilliantly in the distance, just for a second.  Her curiosity overriding her desire for food, she set off towards where she saw the brief flash of light....

As twilight fell, more and more stars appeared in the glistening heavens.

"Wow, there's so many of them!  They're everywhere!" Silvia gasped as she took in the night sky.  She had grown up with starry skies, but never had she been able to look up and literally see nothing but stars.

Ron gently stroked Silvia's still very full stomach as she gazed at the stars.  He could actually feel the meal she had eaten digesting within, and it amused him.  Despite her wonder of the stars, he could tell she was getting a little sleepy from all the food.  He figured she would probably want to rest a bit before they headed back.

"Hey, you girls want to take a little bit of a nap before we head back?"

"Yeah, Hon, that would actually be nice.  I'm still a bit sluggish from that big picnic lunch.  What about you, Amanda?"

Ron and Silvia both turned to Amanda, who hadn't said anything for a while.  They knew why when they saw her fast asleep on the blanket, curled up into a little ball.  It seems she had already succumbed to her food coma.

"Well, it would seem she supports the idea," Ron chuckled.

"Indeed," Silvia said, grinning.

"Well, we'll all rest for a bit and then we'll grab the flashlights and head back," Ron suggested.

Silvia agreed.  "Sounds like a plan to me."  She looked at Ron lovingly.  "You mind if I curl up with you?"

"Not at all."

Ron wrapped his arm around Silvia and they kissed before gently drifting off to sleep.

Where did I see that light coming from? Elle though to herself.  She had tried to travel in a straight line towards where she had seen it, but perhaps she strayed off course at some point.  She hadn't seen anything since that first time, and now she was actually getting a little tired from all the traveling.  She was really disappointed that she hadn't found anything to eat.  Perhaps she should just call it a day and try again in the morning.  She reminded herself of an old proverb her mother had taught her long, long ago.  Sometimes what you're looking for will find you when you stop looking so hard.  So, in that spirit, she lay down on the forest floor, nestled in the twilight shadow of a solitary hill....

Amanda woke up, a distant sound bringing her back to consciousness.  She lay still for a moment, trying to discern it, but she was unable to make out what it was, just that it was somewhat intermittent and that it was coming from the side of the hill.  Her curiosity overriding her sleepiness from the heavy meal still digesting in her stomach, she stood up, careful not to disturb Silvia and Ron.

She felt the food resettle inside her as she took a moment to regain her balance.  She looked around, not seeing any visible source of the sound.  She went to grab a flashlight, but then decided against it, not wanting to ruin her night vision.  After taking another second to confirm the direction of the noise, she headed off down the side of the hill.

The moon wasn't out tonight, but the stars still provided her with just enough light to guide her way through the trees.  Using her exceedingly keen sense of hearing, Amanda followed the sound down the hill, the volume becoming louder and louder.  Finally, when she came to a tall wall of loosely branched bushes, the sound was very loud.  It was a deep rumbling emphasized by high pitched growls.  She'd never heard anything like this in the forest before, and was intensely curious as to what could be making it.

Amanda pushed her way through the bush, but was stopped abruptly by a solid wall.  The sound seemed to be coming from inside the wall.  She put her hands up to it and felt that it was warm and soft and actually gave a little when she pushed into it gently.

How curious! she thought.  I've never encountered anything like it!

She put her ear up to the wall to better hear the sound.  It was very, very loud, and almost deafening.  In addition to the rumbling and the growls, she could hear distant gurgling and a regular thump-thump.

Hearing the gurgling, she thought, Well, I know they were going to build a new water purification plant out here somewhere, I wonder if this is part of it!  How cool that I discovered it!

And as with all things she found cool, Amanda had to go tell her sister about it.  She removed her ear from the wall and headed back up the hill.

When she arrived there, Amanda found Silvia and Ron just waking up, still yawning and stretching.  She walked up to them and whispered, "Hey guys, you have to see what I found, it's really cool!"

"Whaaaa?" Silvia replied, mouth yawning wide, still adjusting to being awake.

"I think I found part of that new water purification plant they're building out here.  You have to come see!  I didn't want to explore it all alone, and have you miss out on anything cool!"

"Amanda, what are you talking about?  That new plant should be miles from here," Ron interjected.

"Well, I found a wall that has some kind of complex system behind it.  I could hear gurgling and figured it had to be part of the water plant.  But if it isn't, then it must be something exciting and new!  Now we have to go explore it!"

Ron obviously wasn't thrilled with the idea.  "We really should just head back.  We already slept longer than we should have."

"Well, we could go and just take a quick look and then head back," Silvia suggested.  "How far was it, Amanda?"

"Oh, it was just down the side of the hill.  It wasn't too far at all!"

"And why were you off exploring anyway?" Ron asked.

"I heard this noise.  It woke me up.  Don't you guys hear it?"

Both Silvia and Ron took a moment to listen, but all they could make out was the chirping of crickets.

"No," Silvia replied.  "But then again, your ears always were a lot better than mine."

"Please, let me just show you guys, and maybe we'll come back another day or something.  But at least come take a look with me."

Silvia turned to Ron, her look making it apparent that she thought it best to satisfy Amanda's request.

After a moment, Ron responded, "Sure, we'll go take a quick look.  But then let's come right back here and head for home."

"Yay!" Amanda cried out.  "Bring your flashlights, but don't turn them on, otherwise you'll ruin your night vision."

Silvia grabbed a flashlight from the basket and stood up.  She paused a moment, grimacing as she tucked the flashlight under her arm and placed her hand on her stomach.

"What's wrong, Honey?" Ron asked, concern on his face.

"Oh, the usual.  Ate too much, now I've got a touch of indigestion.  You know how my stomach gets sometimes."

Ron took her other hand and caressed it gently.  As he did, he stared at the ring on her finger, realizing that they would be spending the rest of their lives together.

"You guys ready to go?" Amanda called out, several yards away now.

Ron looked to Silvia.  She nodded to him and turned to Amanda.  "Yeah, we'll be right there."

She looked back at Ron, smiled, and kissed him.  She loved this man very, very much.

After a brief lovers' moment, they both turned to face Amanda.  Silvia took her flashlight back in her hand and they headed out to follow Amanda.

As Elle slept, she dreamt of past feasts.  In her dreams, her stomach was wonderfully distended, full of delicious food, loudly digesting a large meal.  She smiled in her sleep, the thought of being so full of her favorite food only causing her stomach to growl more loudly....

"What is that noise?" Ron asked, hearing something coming from the direction they were traveling.

"That's where I'm taking us," Amanda replied.

Ron had his arm around Silvia as they followed Amanda down the far side of Tarantula Hill.  He looked over at Silvia, his eyes still obviously asking her if this was a good idea.

She read his concern.  "Don't worry, Honey.  I'm sure everything will be just fine.  We'll just take a look and then leave."

"It's just...I've got a really bad feeling about this."

Silvia smiled back at him.  "You just worry too much, Dear."

"Yeah, I guess you're right."

The three of them continued walking down the hill, the noise now becoming quite loud.

"See, it's coming from right behind this wall of bushes," Amanda explained.

"Very interesting," Silvia commented, mostly to herself.

The three of them pushed through the bushes, coming to the wall Amanda had encountered before.  Ron and Silvia stood, studying the curious wall before them.

"Put your ear up to it.  You can hear all sorts of things," Amanda encouraged.

Both Ron and Silvia turned their heads facing each other and placed their ears up against the soft wall.

They heard the loud rumbles that they had heard before, plus a distant gurgling of water, and a regular thump-thump.

As he listened, Ron stared into Silvia's eyes.  He saw them widen as his own opened with realization and fear.  They both removed their ears and stepped away from the wall.

They whispered in unison.  "Amanda, we need to get out of here...."

Elle's dream began to fade as she entered a lighter stage of sleep.  The more her dream dissolved, the more she became aware of her hunger....

"Why?  What's wrong?  Why do we have to leave?"

Silvia tried to keep her voice low, in spite of the extreme panic that was starting to come over her.  "Amanda, those sounds you hear are of something's internal organs.  Something very, very large.  We need to get out of here quickly and quietly, right now."

"Oh, come on!  That's ridiculous!" Amanda said, a little too loud for Ron and Silvia's liking.

"Shhhh!" Ron whispered forcefully.  "Whatever it is must be asleep, so it gives us a chance to escape without any incident.  But we need to get out of here immediately.  By the sound of the growls this thing's stomach is making, it's very, very hungry, and we don't want to be here when it wakes up."

What's that? Elle thought in her sleep.  In her dream she was looking out from a tall hill in her homeland, gazing out at the lush jungle, and she swore she could hear something.  She focused, trying to discern it.

"Amanda, who knows what kind of monstrosity this thing is.  We can't stay around here.  We have to go."

Amanda, still skeptical, finally gave up arguing with her sister.  "Fine!  I'll go!"

Wait! Elle thought, realization coming over her.  That isn't from my dream!

Silvia practically dragged her sister up the hill, Ron leading the retreat.  He had to get them out of here.  Dread filled him, some part of his mind sensing a dark cloud overhead.

There's something here!

Ron could see the top of the hill in the distance.  It wasn't too far.

Elle's eyes shot open.

They were almost there.

Elle sat up, turning her head and attention to the right, toward the sounds she had heard.

We made it!  We made it over the top of the hill! Ron sighed with relief.  With the hill between them and whatever was back there, they could get their stuff and get the hell out of here.

Elle looked above the trees, listening intently, her eyes searching....

Amanda picked up her flashlight from one of the baskets, but it slipped from her fingers, falling on her foot, accidently turning it on.

"Owwwww!"

Elle's eyes snapped to the light that flashed briefly in the sky.  There!

"Damn it, Amanda!" Ron whispered harshly.  "Turn off that flashlight and grab a picnic basket.  We need to get out of here—"

He was interrupted by a sound of thunder, a trembling in the earth beneath his feet.  He turned to yell at Silvia and Amanda.  "Run!"

Elle moved quickly between the trees, instinct taking over her movement more than anything.  She moved up the hill while at the same time cutting around, moving in a diagonal pattern toward the far side of the hill....

"Hurry!" Ron screamed, looking back to Silvia still dragging her sister.  Once again, here was Amanda's naivety getting them into trouble.  They were now about a quarter of the way down the hill.  Ron's plan was for them to get into the thinker woods of the forest floor, where they would be able to better hide and sneak away undetected.  He was determined to get Silvia out of here safe and sound.  He stared ahead intently, eyes following the narrow path into the darkness, his heart beating fast, in step with the trembling earth.

But then the trembling stopped.  Ron stopped in his tracks.

"Hold on," his whispered sharply back at Silvia and Amanda.  They stopped just behind Ron, and Silvia nestled herself into Ron's back, wanting to be close.

Ron stared ahead into the darkness, sensing something there.  His eyes slowly adjusted to the low light beneath the trees, and ahead, in the middle of the path, there formed two large eyes, staring right back at him.

Ron's heart raced at twice its already accelerated rate.  He no longer knew what to do.

Just then Amanda spotted the huge eyes staring at them.

And screamed.

"Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!"

As he felt a commotion behind him, Ron could see the giant eyes blink, then just the faintest outline of a tongue lick an enormous pair of lips.

He turned around to see Amanda running back up the hill, with Silvia trying to catch up to her.  He ran as fast as he could after them.  He needed to get the two of them hidden somewhere as soon as possible.  It was obvious that they weren't going to be able to outrun whatever this thing was.

Once again the earth began to tremble.  Ron's panicked mind raced as hard as his legs to figure out somewhere to hide.  The problem was that the girls were running right into the open meadow on top of Tarantula Hill.  The ground's shaking was getting heavier now, but he was too frightened to look behind him, scared of what horrific monstrosity was hunting them down.

He reached the top of the hill, saw the girls running to the left, and changed his flight path to try and reach them before the thing did.  As he bolted along this new course there was some distant warning somewhere in the back of his mind, but he couldn't put a finger on it in his panicked state.  He was almost caught up with the girls when suddenly they screamed even louder and disappeared from sight.

Oh god, the pit!

As Ron skidded to a stop, he realized why something had bothered him about the girls running this way.  There was a wide and pretty decently deep pit at the edge of this side of Tarantula Hill.  And now the girls had fallen into it.

He kneeled at the edge of the pit, saw Silvia and Amanda sprawled across the bottom.  The earth continued to tremble beneath all of them.

"Silvia!  Amanda!  Grab my hand!  We have to get you out of there!"

The trembling stopped.

Silvia and Amanda turned toward Ron, their eyes going wide.

Ron slowly turned around.  And looked up.  Way up.

What he saw before him was completely and utterly inexplicable to him.

A woman...well over a hundred feet tall.

Had she been normal size, Ron would have described her as absolutely gorgeous.  But given his frightened state and the absolute absurdity of this situation, his mind was having a tough time computing exactly what he was seeing.

She was wearing a leopard skin bikini, the bottoms tied at each side with a knot.  Another knot was tied on her top, between her ample breasts.  Well, ample if she were the size of a normal human being.  To Ron they looked enormous beyond comprehension.  She was obviously fit, though not muscled.  Her long, dark brown hair would have come down to her shoulder blades if it weren't blowing gently in the night breeze.

Ron just stared up at her, slack-jawed, her intense brown eyes staring back down at him.

She smiled.

Ron, Silvia, and Amanda just continued to stare as this giant woman sat down, Indian-style, her legs folded directly in front of Ron.

With nowhere to run, and nowhere to hide, Ron's frightened mind came to the conclusion that perhaps diplomacy was the only option.

"Um...hello!" he shouted up to her.

Her smile widened.  "Hello!"

Well, so she did speak English.  Yet, still, Ron wasn't entirely sure what to say next.  But the first thing that came to mind was:  "Can I help you?"

Right then, her stomach let out a loud rumbling noise.  She gently rubbed her belly, then returned her attention back to Ron.

"Yes."

Ron really didn't like the sound of that.

"Well, if you're hungry, we have some food left over from our picnic.  You're more than welcome to it."

"No thanks."

Dread filled Ron.  He had no option but to attempt the obvious.

"We really need to be getting back home, so, I'm just going to help my friends out of this pit and we'll be out of your hair.  But it was nice meeting you...?"

"Elle," she said, filling his pause.

"Ah, Elle.  Well, it was really nice meeting you, Elle.  We'll just be on our way."

Ron was trembling as he turned his back on Elle to face Silvia and Amanda, who he could see were also shivering with fear.

"T-t-t-take m-my h-h-hand.  W-w-we're g-g-g-going t-t-to g-g-g-go h-h-h-home, n-n-n-now."

He saw Silvia's eyes go even wider as she let out a scream.

"Nooooooooooooooooo!"

Ron turned around to see Elle's impossibly large hand descend upon him.  He tried to dodge it but she was too quick, pinching the back of his shirt between her fingers.  The world became blurry as he felt himself being pulled off the ground.

As she grabbed Ron, Elle pushed herself up onto her knees, balancing her body with her left hand against the side of the pit.  Silvia and Amanda watched in horror as Elle's towering body loomed over them, Ron being pulled up higher and higher.

Ron watched as the world moved past him in blurred speed, seeing far out into the forest before his view became completely filled with Elle's face.  He saw the hunger in her eyes, and there was now no doubt as to her intent for his fate.  He struggled against the impossibly strong force of her fingers, some deep, dark part of him figuring that if he fell to his instantaneous death it would be better than demise at the hands of this giantess' digestive tract.

But inevitability loomed closer and closer in the form of Elle's moist lips.  She licked them once before they began to part.  Ron felt himself being raised up even further as she tilted her head back.  Her eyes closed as her mouth opened wide, revealing to Ron two rows of pearly white teeth leading into the bright red tunnel of her throat.  He saw her tongue extend out, causing the back of her throat to open even wider, as if already anticipating his arrival.  Her uvula swung slightly back and forth, as if coaxing him inward.  Finally, he felt Elle's fingers loosen, and he began to fall.

He screamed, flailing his arms about, trying desperately to change the path of his descent, but the laws of physics were unsympathetic to his plea for help.

He landed square on the middle of Elle's tongue.

There's hope! some part of his mind registered.  He scrambled, trying to find a way to the edge of her tongue and out of her mouth.  His whole world was in motion, and it was difficult to get traction with so much saliva everywhere.  But he fought to get to the tip of Elle's tongue with every ounce of energy he had.  He had made some progress when he saw out of the edge of his vision her top jaw beginning to close.  He pushed even harder.  But for every inch he gained, she puller her tongue further back into her mouth.  He was almost ready to be able to make a jump for it when she quickly closed her lips around his outstretched arm.  He was surrounded by complete darkness and gallons of saliva.  His clothes were already thoroughly soaked, and the sensation was completely disgusting to him.  He pushed and shoved and finally managed to get his other arm through Elle's lips.  He pulled himself outward with all his strength.

Silvia couldn't believe what she was watching.  Directly overhead she could clearly see Ron's arms sticking out of Elle's mouth, fighting for his escape.  She was screaming at Elle to stop, but her cries fell upon deaf ears.

Ron almost had his head through Elle's lips.  He pulled mightily, finally finding some leverage.  He felt the cool night air blow against his saliva-soaked faced as he managed to get his upper torso through her lips.  He could hear Silvia screaming below.

Silvia saw Ron's head push outside of Elle's mouth.  She yelled up to him.

"Ron!"

He looked down at her.

And then he was gone.

Ron saw Silvia calling him from below.  He was about to yell back to her when he suddenly felt a violent sucking sensation at his feet, and the next thing he knew he was plunged back into complete darkness.

"Nooooooooooooo!" Silvia screamed as she saw Ron disappear back into Elle's mouth.

She and Amanda watched in utter horror as they saw Elle extend her neck, and swallow.

They could clearly see the lump that was Ron in her throat.  The bulge seemed to travel impossibly slow down the length of Elle's neck, as if taunting them, torturing them.  It disappeared into her body, Silvia knowing that Elle's esophagus was pushing Ron toward her stomach.

Moments later Elle let out a large belch, announcing to the world that Ron was now in her stomach.

Buuuuuuurp!

Silvia stared at Elle's body overhead, imagining the horror Ron must be going through.  Through her tear-filled eyes she swore that she could see Ron struggling through Elle's abdomen.

Elle patted her stomach and repositioned herself to lay down along the side of the pit.  She partially curled around it, lying on her left side.  She propped her head up with her left hand and stared down at the two woman cowering in the pit.

There was a moment of silence before Elle's stomach let out a loud groaning noise.  Silvia knew that this meant her stomach was preparing to digest Ron.  She had to try to do something to save him.  She had to try and find some way to plea with this giant woman.

Silvia stood up, facing Elle.

"Why?!  Why did you eat him?!  He is a good man!"

Elle only smiled at this inquiry.

"Food is made to be eaten, silly.  What else do you do with it?"

"Ron is not food!  We are not food!  We are human beings, just like you."

Again Elle laughed.  "Silly humans!  Why are you the only food that never seems to be able to accept its place on the food chain?" she said, patting her stomach as she did.

"What do you mean, 'silly humans'?  Look at yourself!  You may be larger than us, but we're all the same!"

Elle made her amusement with this conversation quite apparent.

"I see.  This must be another one of those worlds where you're at the top of the local food chain.  Those are always the ones that try to escape on argued morality.  Where I come from, it's eat or be eaten.  And in case you haven't noticed, you fit nice and snugly in my belly, and by the law of the jungle, that makes you food."

"You aren't from this world?"

"No, no.  My home world is a deep jungle world, called Dorontu.  I'm not entirely sure how I got here, or to any of the other worlds I've visited, but sometimes, after I wake up, I find myself in a whole new place.  Sometimes, I get lucky," she said, pausing to let out a soft belch.  "And I find some yummy snacks around."

"We are not snacks!  That's what I'm trying to tell you!  We're people!  Sentient beings with thoughts and feelings!"

Elle thought on this for a moment.

"But you know what else you are?"

"What?" Silvia asked, obviously infuriated with Elle's indifference to the suffering she was causing.

"Tasty," Elle answered as she leaned slightly forward, extending her right arm.

"No!" Silvia cried out, reacting as fast as she could.  She grabbed Amanda by the arm, more an impulse reaction than part of any plan.  The sisters tried frantically to evade Elle's looming hand, but Amanda tripped on a rock, falling flat on her stomach.  She had the wind knocked out of her, and the pause was just enough for Elle to grab her foot.

Amanda felt herself being lifted up, upside down.  She clawed at the dusty earth, searching for something to hold on to.

Silvia dove to try and catch her sister's hand.  She was able to get a hold, but it wasn't strong enough.  As Amanda was pulled upward Silvia lost her grip and fell back to the ground.  She screamed as her sister was carried away from her.

Elle held Amanda in front of her face, studying her.  Amanda was crying, her mind completely in shock.  The bottom of her shirt folded over the top, exposing her still distended stomach.  Elle moved her left hand to poke Amanda's stomach with her index finger.  Amanda grimaced and felt queasy as the force of Elle's finger compressed the large meal she had eaten earlier.

"I see you are nice and full.  Just like my mother always used to say:  There's nothing sweeter than stuffed human!"

Elle's stomach grumbled loudly, a combination of anticipation and its already started work on Ron.

Amanda could hear Silvia yelling in the distance, but her mind was clouded, everything so overwhelming.  All she could do was stare straight ahead, into the face of this giant woman who was fully intent on making her nothing more than the second part of a three-course meal.

Elle licked her lips, her eyes focused squarely on Amanda's stuffed belly.  She replaced her left hand to its previous place, supporting her head.  She opened her mouth wide as she turned to face the slowly brightening sky, her right hand bringing Amanda closer.

Amanda looked down as she saw herself being positioned over Elle's open maw.  She stared into the darkness of Elle's pulsating throat, felt herself being lowered in.  Elle's tongue extended outward in anticipation of the tasty morsel.  Amanda saw the outside world disappear as her vision became completely engulfed by the inside of Elle's mouth.  She saw each individual tooth, brightly white against the deep red of flesh.

She flailed her arms about, but it had little effect other than to spin her around and make her dizzy.  She saw darkness begin to settle over her as Elle's mouth closed around her.  As she was lowered further into the mouth, she tried taking a swing at the uvula hanging before her, but to no effect.  If she couldn't make this woman gag, then what could she possibly do?

She felt Elle's mouth completely close, pinning her between the tongue and the roof of the mouth.  Elle sucked gently on her body, clearly enjoying the taste by the impossibly load moans that echoed in Amanda's ears.  She felt the tip of the tongue roll back and massage her stomach, a sensation that might have been pleasant under different circumstances.

Then all motion seemed to stop.  It was enough to give Amanda hope of escape.  Which was quickly revealed to be false hope.

Amanda felt herself being pushed forward, she knew to the back of Elle's throat.  She kicked and screamed and tried to punch anything she could.  But as she felt the uvula brush past her face, she made one more valiant attempt to get Elle to spit her out—she reached her arms out and grabbed the uvula.

But there was too much saliva, and her hands slowly began to slip as she was pushed further and further back.  She felt the muscles around her tighten, pushing her into a tighter and tighter space.  Finally, she felt herself being pushed into the constrictive muscles of the esophagus.  She couldn't move, she could barely struggle, and it was hard to breathe.  She felt nauseous as she was pushed downward, deeper into Elle's body.

Tears streamed down Silvia's face as she watched the bulge that was her sister travel slowly down Elle's throat, just as she had been forced to watch Ron.  Elle's stomach let out a low rumbling as it accepted Amanda's body. Silvia was now certain that she saw signs of struggle from within the giantess' gut.  As long as they were alive, there was still hope.  She had to remain hopeful.  She had to find a way.  Otherwise the two people she loved most were going to be reduced to nothing more than digestive soup.

As if expressing her side of the situation, Elle belched, louder than she had before, releasing the air she'd swallowed along with Amanda.

Buuuuuuurp!  "Mmmmmmm!  She sure was tasty!"

Silvia stared intently into Elle's eyes, her defiance clear.

Elle cocked her head curiously.  "I'm sorry, is this upsetting you?"

"You've just eaten the two people I love more than anything in this world."

"Aw, I'm sorry about that.  Truly, I am.  But everything in the universe has a purpose, and your purpose is to make my tummy nice and full.  And your friends are doing a very nice job of it, too, I might add."

"They aren't my friends!  That's my sister and my lover in your belly!  And I want you to let them out right now!"

"Why should I?  They feel nice and wonderful right where they are.  So why should I have any reason to let them out?"

Silvia took a moment's pause, her stomach cramping under all the stress and the partially digested meal within.  It pained her to know that the same digestive processes within her own stomach were what was happening to Ron and Amanda right now.  She felt doomed by her own extensive medical knowledge.  But there had to be a way to reason with this woman.  There had to be.

"Because we are a family, and you don't destroy families.  You talk about your mother, so surely you must understand that!  Don't destroy my family!"

"You can't stand the fact that you won't be together, can you?"

Silvia was bawling, so desperate to save Ron and Amanda.  "No, I can't live without them.  Please, let them be with me."

"Well, then I'll make it really easy and let you be with them."

Elle stared down at Silvia, her intentions fully clear.

"No!  No!  That's not what I meant!"

Elle's smiled grew devilishly wide as she moved her right arm as she'd done before, readying to snag her next snack.  Silvia looked around, tried to find something, but the only thing she could see within arms' reach was the flashlight she'd dropped when she'd fallen into the pit.  She was able to grab it just moments before Elle snatched her up by the back of her shirt.

Elle rolled from her side to her back as she carried Silvia towards her mouth, leaning slightly forward to accept the delectable morsel.  Silvia's mind rushed through possible plans, and as Elle's open mouth loomed closer and closer, she could think of only one thing.  Just before she was over the mouth she turned on the flashlight and pointed it directly into Elle's eye.  Elle, momentarily startled and blinded, accidently dropped Silvia, who began free-falling downward.  She lost her grip on the flashlight, which fell directly into Elle's still open mouth.  Elle gagged momentarily on the unexpected object before instinctively swallowing it.

Silvia fell directly into Elle's monstrous cleavage, the soft flesh of her breasts cushioning her fall.  She rolled down between the massive lumps, coming to an eventual stop on Elle's stomach.

Elle coughed as she caught her breath, trying to figure out where Silvia went.  She looked down at the gentle sensations on her bare abdomen, finding her answer.  She laughed.

"You almost got away from me there.  Very clever.  You want to have some fun first?  We'll have some fun."

Elle's stomach grumbled a deep bellowing rumble.  The sheer volume was deafening to Silvia, who was directly above the organ.  It was then that she felt the movement beneath her.

Despite the fact that it meant they were still alive, the realization that this was Ron and Amanda trying desperately to escape their fleshy prison was terrifying.  Silvia panicked, trying to figure out where she could run.

Elle rolled her stomach, causing Silvia to lose her already precarious balance.  Elle continued to bounce Silvia on the surface of her stomach until she finally caused her to fall butt-first into the open trench of her belly button.

Silvia could feel all the intricate folds within Elle's wide navel as she tried to push herself out of it.  The sounds of Elle's intestines gurgling filled her ears, her medical mind telling her that Elle's body was preparing for full digestion.  This fact, this dooming realization, scared her stiff.  Wave upon wave of horror filled her.

Elle's stomach rumbled, its volume overriding the intestines'.

"You hear that?  My stomach's waiting for you.  And I see no reason why it should be left waiting."

Elle reached her hand out to pluck Silvia from her belly button.  Silvia tried frantically to scramble away from Elle's grasp, but to no avail.  Elle took Silvia by the hand, dangling her as she drew her closer to her face.

From Elle's point of view, the rising sun glistened off of Silvia's fiery red hair.

"Mmmmmmm, a red head.  I bet you taste nice and spicy!"

Silvia screamed, her ears not even aware of the sound she was making, as Elle opened her mouth wide, the sharply painted portrait of inevitability.  But still Silvia struggled with everything she had.  Elle tilted her head back slightly, extending her tongue, ready to receive its tasty treat.

Elle laid Silvia out on her tongue, on her back.  The moment she let go of her hand, Silvia rolled around onto her stomach, trying to claw her way away from Elle's gaping throat.

Feeling Silvia's struggles on her tongue, Elle slowly tilted her head further and further back.  Silvia fought to get a better grip on Elle's tongue, but the copious amounts of saliva made it difficult.  Slowly she felt herself slipping.  She looked back to see the looming entrance of Elle's esophagus, pulsating with eagerness.  She had to escape.  There was no other option.  But she was losing her grip.  A few more moments and....

She lost her grip.

She started to fall backwards, certain that she was going to fall right into Elle's open throat.  But instead Elle closed her mouth.

She wasn't done playing.

Elle rolled Silvia back and forth over her tongue, thoroughly enjoying her flavor.  Silvia was drenched in saliva and completely disoriented.  She felt sensations all over her body as Elle's tongue explored her.  The rough movements tore the buttons on her shirt, and Elle enjoyed the smooth flesh of Silvia's stomach and ample breasts as they slid over her tongue.  Elle always enjoyed the last part of her meals the best, because she didn't have to stand guard over anyone else.

Meanwhile, Silvia, while disorientated, was still struggling with every ounce of energy she had.  But within such tight confines, there was little effect she could have.

Suddenly, Elle's mouth became very still.  Silvia continued to kick and punch and scream as best as she could.  Elle opened her mouth wide, and Silvia could see the sun rising over the horizon.  She struggled to reach it, to escape this horrific fate.  She outstretched her arm, reaching for the bright sun.  That's when Elle began to toy again.

She tilted her head back slowly again, as she had done before.  Silvia, her clothes ragged but her spirit still full of fight, clawed her way to the tip of Elle's tongue.  She was almost over the edge of it when Elle tilted her head straight back and Silvia fell right into Elle's open throat.  The muscles tightened around her, pulling her down.  She reached out, but found nothing to hold on to.  The last thing she saw was the slowly brightening dawn sky.

Everything became dark for Silvia, and she felt movement all around her.  Tight muscles bound her feet and hands, and she felt slick flesh sliding past her face and body as Elle's esophagus pushed her closer and closer to the stomach.  She could hear as well as feel the pounding of Elle's heart, and the sound of her lungs drawing in breath.

After what seemed like an eternity, she felt the muscles binding her feet relax.  She had arrived at the stomach.

The esophagus, with its final push, shoved Silvia into the stomach.  She fell onto Ron and Amanda, causing all three to end up in a heap.

"Silvia!" Ron and Amanda exclaimed together.

"Ron!  Amanda!"  They all tried to regain their footing and were finally able to embrace each other, all clearly frightened and scared.

I can't believe how good these humans tasted, Elle thought, still enjoying the slow sensation of the red head traveling down her throat.  It was a glorious feeling that never got old for her.  She traced the path of the red head with her finger, from the base of her neck, between her breasts, finally ending at her stomach.  She felt the wonderful sensation of her entering her stomach, making it nice and full.  There was a slight movement within her gut.  Then she belched loudly, releasing the excess gas from her stomach, and signaling the end of a delicious meal.

Just as Ron, Silvia, and Amanda were embracing each other, the stomach walls pushed in violently, and they felt a rush of air move upward.

They again tumbled over, against one of the pulsating walls.

"Another belch," Ron explained.

"I'm just so happy you two are still alright," Silvia said.  "I was terrified that she would have already digested you both by now."

"She seems to be taking her sweet time," Ron said.  "Which will hopefully buy us enough time to figure a way out of here."

Elle's stomach walls contracted slightly, nudging them all toward the center, while letting out a deafening rumble.  After the rumbling seceded, Silvia could hear the gurgling of Elle's intestines beyond the stomach walls.

"That's her intestines.  I could hear them earlier, when I fell on her stomach.  They are gearing up to digest a big meal.  And we're going to be that meal if we don't find a way out of here."

Elle's stomach contracted against, this time harder than before.

"This is all my fault!" Amanda cried.

"No, Honey," Silvia said, trying to sooth her.  "You had no way of knowing this would happen.  Don't blame yourself."

Again the stomach walls contracted, the rumbling longer and louder than before.

"Silvia, we're running out of time."

Elle was enjoying immensely the moments of the meals inside her stomach.  She looked down at the pleasant bulge they made in her belly.  She patted the bulge, causing a gas bubble to escape.

Buuuuuuurp!

There was a sudden thumping that hit Ron in the back.  He was thrown face-first into the spongy flesh of the stomach.  The sound was deafening.  The side of the stomach shook with each thump.  They were all thrown about and there was another gush of air that pushed up and out of the stomach.

It took Silvia a moment, but she realized what was happening.  Elle was patting her stomach, obviously quite content with her meal.

"Silvia, do you have any ideas?" Ron asked, his voice making his desperation quite apparent.

"Well, the only two options available to use are to either try and force our way into the intestines and hope we can make it to the end of her digestive tract alive, or we give her a bad enough case of indigestion that she regurgitates us out."

"Why can't we just try and climb back out the way we came in?" Ron asked.

"The esophageal muscles are too powerful.  We'd just be pushed right back down."

"Okay.  Then of the two plans you gave, which do we try first?"

"Well, help me here and let's see if we can force open the pyloric valve."

Silvia turned her attention to the fleshy ring at the bottom of the stomach.

"Ron, hand me the flashlight."

Ron handed her the flashlight and she shone it on the closed pyloric valve to study it.

"Okay, you're stronger than me.  Try and see if you can force your hand into the valve."

Elle's stomach contracted really hard, the rumbling reverberating in their ears.

Ron tried desperately to force his hand into Elle's closed pyloric valve, but it was sealed shut.

"I can't get my hand in.  It's closed up tight."

"I was afraid of that.  It's designed to keep food from escaping from the stomach into the small intestine.  I just never thought I would be that food."

Silvia started to cry.

"Now, Honey, that was just Plan A.  We still have Plan B.  We'll find a way out of here."

As if showing its defiance to their escape attempts, Elle's stomach rumbled and squeezed sharply, forcing them tightly together for several seconds before releasing the pressure.

Silvia wiped the tears from her eyes.

"Her stomach is really warming up for full-on digestion.  We need to give her a serious case of indigestion, immediately."

"What do we do?"

"Punch and kick the stomach walls, and hopefully we can upset her stomach enough to cause her to vomit."

They all placed their backs against one side of Elle's stomach, and then began kicking and punching the other side.

Elle began to feel intense movements inside her stomach.  Ah, yes, she thought.  Finally they are really starting to struggle.

She loved the sensation of her meals struggling within her stomach.  It made her very happy, very content.  And her fullness was starting to make her sleepy.

She stretched her arms and yawned, lying back as she did.  She put her hand over her stomach, enjoying the sensations within.

All of a sudden everything shifted.  Ron, Silvia, and Amanda were tossed back as their fleshy cavern was tossed about, finally settling ninety degrees from where it was.

"What's going on?" Amanda asked, gravely concerned.

"Oh no, I think she's going to sleep!  Sleep and digestion run on the same nervous system!  We have to keep her from falling asleep!  If she falls asleep, full-on digestion will be sure to start!"

They all began pounding on the walls, kicking and screaming and throwing all of their energy into upsetting Elle's stomach.

"Aaaaah, that feels good," Elle sighed.  She felt her stomach contract and was rewarded with another satisfying belch.

Buuuuuuurp!

Another tight contraction and rush of air escaping the stomach.  Things were really starting to get tight.  And that's when Silvia felt her back start to tingle.

"Her stomach is starting to produce acid!  She's going to digest us if we don't get out of here now!"

Elle rubbed her stomach, feeling the struggles within.  She giggled, knowing her digestive juices were really starting to flow.  Digestion of a good meal always made her happy.

It was really starting to burn.  The air was thick and the stomach walls were now actively churning.  Ron, Silvia, and Amanda screamed as they fought desperately to escape their fleshy prison.

Silvia cried as she pounded and screamed, unable to accept that she and the two people she loved most were nothing more than a satisfying meal.

Elle belched one last time, letting out the last of the air in her stomach.  She felt pleasantly full, and the churning of her stomach combined with the struggling of her meal caused her to smile as she drifted off to sleep.

Elle woke up, a full moon staring down at her.  Had she really slept all day?  She rubbed her stomach, now completely flat, the soothing struggles within having ceased.  But she felt good.  She always did after a satisfying meal.

She sat up and found herself in quite a different place than she had been when she fell asleep.  Instead of an evergreen forest, she found herself in the middle of a much thicker, more lush forest.  Closer to the jungles of Dorontu than any place she had been since she had mysteriously vanished from her home planet.

There was a rustling in the trees from her left, and she turned to see what was causing it.  From the thick of the forest emerged a woman with blonde hair, as tall as she was.  It was a startling moment for Elle, as it had been a long time since she had encountered anyone her own size.

"Uh, hello," Elle said.  "My name is Elle."

The blonde woman moved further out of the forest.  It was only now that Elle could see that while she was completely normal from the torso up, from the waist down she had the body of a snake.

"Hi, Elle.  My name's Crisis.  It's very nice to meet you."
